While fifteen departments have been subject to a curfew from 6 p.m. since January 2, the list could grow. During a press conference held this Thursday, January 7, Jean Castex announced that ten additional departments could be affected by these restrictions, and this from Sunday. The decision must be made on Friday. The list of these departments was not disclosed by the Prime Minister who however specified that they were “rather located in the east of France”.
“The latest figures lead us to identify ten additional departments”, explained the head of government, explaining that “the decisions (will be) taken Friday evening to come into force on Sunday”, after consultations carried out by the prefects of the territories concerned.
As a reminder, the departments already under curfew at 6 p.m. are: Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardennes, Doubs, Jura, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et -Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Nièvre, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Vosges and Territoire de Belfort.
