WASHINGTON | The coronavirus has made 1081 additional deaths in 24 hours in the United States, according to the count Tuesday at 20: 30 from the Johns Hopkins university.
This brings to 106 180 the total number of deaths in the country, where 1 831 435 cases have been identified, according to the figures, updated continuously, of the university based in Baltimore.
The United States is by far, with this record, which is the most affected country in the world in absolute value by the pandemic COVID-19.
The latter has been at least 379 585 deaths in the world since its debut in December in China, according to a report drawn up by AFP from official sources Tuesday.
All u.s. States have, to varying degrees, flexed their containment measures.
But dozens of major u.s. cities have enacted curfews at night in relation to the violence which has swept the country following the death of George Floyd, a black man asphyxiated by a white policeman last week in Minneapolis.
