14,929 new cases in 24 hours in France, hospitalizations stagnate

According to figures from Public Health France, the number of people in intensive care is down slightly. A total of 276 died in hospital over the past 24 hours.

It has now been nearly three weeks since France has been stuck on a fairly high plateau in terms of the number of new coronavirus contaminations every 24 hours. As evidenced by the latest figures from Public Health France, according to which the number of admissions to hospital or intensive care for Covid-19 is down, but relatively slight.

A total of 276 people have died in France in the last 24 hours from the disease. There were also 1,421 new admissions to the hospital, which constitutes a total of 24,884 hospitalized patients, a decrease of 80 compared to the previous day. 200 people were admitted to intensive care, for a total of 2710 patients in this situation. There too, a slight decrease, since it is 18 less.

With regard to contamination, 14,929 people have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19 in France in the last 24 hours, which brings us to a total of 2,505,875 people who have contracted the virus since the epidemic affected the country. This daily figure is far from the target set by Emmanuel Macron of 5,000 contaminations detected per day.
