Approximately 23 000 homes were without electricity Wednesday morning, in Quebec, after the passage of a storm front in the night.
According to the balance sheet as of 8: 46 a.m., 23 236 customers had no power, mainly in the Montreal area.
There were thus 5332 households disconnected in Lanaudière, 5004 in the Montérégie region, 4409 Montreal and 3216 in the Laurentians.
Already on Tuesday evening, the weather conditions had hurt the electrical system in the province, depriving 69 400 subscribers of electricity.
The passage of this depression on Quebec has for effect to expel the heat wave that has marked the last week, so that the thermometer should be maintained around 25 °C until the beginning of next week.
