Enedis recorded a peak of 2,500 power cuts throughout the Center-Val de Loire on December 24, shortly after midnight, due to violent gales. As of 9:00 am this morning, 1,400 households remained without power in the region.
The wind blew hard on the night of Wednesday 23 to Thursday 24 December over the Center-Val de Loire. Gales at 70-80 km / h were measured over the entire region, with peaks at 90 km / h.
Consequence: many residents found themselves without electricity much of the night. According to Enedis, a peak of 2,500 homes without electricity was measured shortly after midnight, throughout the Center-Val de Loire.
This morning at 9 o’clock, around 120 Enedis technicians and 40 agents from partner companies were working on the regional network to restore power. About 1,400 households were still without electricity, including 353 in the Loiret.
Above all, do not touch a line on the ground
Enedis reiterates the need to respect safety instructions, and above all not to touch power lines that have fallen to the ground due to the wind. It is also essential not to prune vegetation near lines without authorization.
