Ukraine will send the Russian diplomats 13 at a sufficiently high level, the first, the second Secretary of the Embassy, informs the news, Ukrmedia.

This broadcast “112 Ukraine” said the Vice-President of the PACE Vladimir Aryev.

Aryev noted that during the adoption of decisions on the expulsion of Russian diplomats in Ukraine by the partners there was no pressure.

“Any pressure on Ukraine is not provided, this decision was taken in solidarity with our British colleagues… We have to do this step, as well as at the time Britain and the EU have imposed sanctions against Russia because of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. It was entirely reasonable and logical step,” he said.

“As far as I know, Ukraine sends serious enough diplomats on the ground, second Secretary (Embassy – ed.), not technical staff. They have until tomorrow to leave the territory of Ukraine, they were given 48 hours. I believe that this step we show unity with the European community”, – added the Vice-President of PACE.

To the question, does Russia have the right to replace the expelled diplomats the replacement of these 13 person there is a reduction of the diplomatic mission, Vladimir Aryev said:

“In this case, they have the right to send someone to replace it. The Ukrainian side will of course be considered, but our level of diplomatic relations after Ukraine refused to accept the Russian Ambassador, is at a low level,” he added.

Britain has expelled Russian diplomats 23 in the framework of measures taken as a reaction to an incident in Salisbury. Later, the European Union decided to withdraw its Ambassador from Russia for consultations.
