A 32nd final for the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers reached the NBA Finals disposing of the Denver Nuggets in five games, winning the deciding game 117-107 on Saturday night in Orlando.

Los Angeles thus reached a 32nd final in its history and will be looking for a 17th title. The Lakers, however, will have to wait for the outcome of the other association final between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics before knowing their opponents in the final. The Heat leads the series 3-2.

This is the first appearance in the final for the Lakers since their three consecutive from 2008 to 2010.

LeBron James was sensational in the win with a triple-double of 38 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. He was helped by an Anthony Davis reduced by ankle pain, but still effective with 25 points.

It is the end of the course for the surprising Nuggets, who will have resisted until the very end. Nikola Jokic and Jerami Grant collected 20 points in the loss, while youngster Jamal Murray added 19.
