NEW YORK city | A child of five years died in the State of New York of an inflammatory disease with symptoms close to the Kawasaki disease, probably related to the COVID-19, said Friday the governor of the State of New York.
There are now 73 cases of such symptoms in children in this State, where the epidemic is receding, he said.
For the past two weeks, several countries have reported cases of children affected by these symptoms close to a rare condition, Kawasaki disease. The link with the COVID-19 is not formally established, but scientists consider it likely.
More details will follow.
