Laurent Duvernay-Tardif has agreed to restructure his contract to allow the Chiefs to Kansas City to free up space on the wage bill.
His agent made the announcement Wednesday.
“I am very happy to have been able to hear me with the Chiefs on a contract restructured in view of the season 2020, said the offensive lineman in a press release. This allows the team to free up space on the wage bill and I’m very excited to defend our title for the next season. We have a great opportunity to keep the core of the team in order to give us the best chance for success.”
Duvernay-Tardif and the Chiefs have defeated the San Francisco 49ers to the account from 31 to 20 in the last Super Bowl to put the hand on the trophy Vince-Lombardi.
