The intervention lasted six hours in the middle of Christmas night. A couple perished in the fire in their house, a converted garage and a bungalow which served as an extension, in Plouha (Côtes d’Armor), between Paimpol and Saint-Brieuc on Thursday, December 24.

Installed for over 30 years

The couple had lived there for over 30 years near Bréhec beach, road to the Corniche. Firefighters and gendarmes intervened around 8 p.m. while the house was ravaged by flames. They then spot the presence of the couple but it is already too late.

An investigation is underway

The firefighters intervened until 2 a.m.. An investigation is underway to identify the circumstances of this fire and the death of the couple.
