SAINT-CELESTIN | A man was killed in a collision between two vehicles occurred on the night of Friday in Saint-Célestin, in Mauricie.
The accident took place at around 23: 30. A team from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has been called at 910, rue Saint-Joseph in this small municipality in the Mauricie region.
According to sergeant Claude Denis of the SQ, the driver of a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle, before rolling in the opposite direction.
“In the opposite way, the driver of an SUV was unable to avoid the collision,” said sergeant Denis.
The driver died while the passenger who was with him if in is out with injury, still according to the SQ.
For his part, the driver of the van who caused the accident refused to be transported to the hospital, said Claude Denis of the SQ.
The 28 year old male was arrested and taken to undergo a breathalyzer test.
It has been released with the promise to return to court.
