Asked by France Bleu Orléans, the regional health agency of Center-Val de Loire indicates, this Friday, that a first case of the British variant of Covid-19 has been identified in Loiret. It dates back to mid-December: it is a “woman just under 40 who was returning from London and lives in the Loiret”, continues the ARS which does not wish to give more details.
His state of health does not inspire concern
His case does not cause concern, explains the regional health agency, the infected person was neither hospitalized nor developed a serious form of the disease. The CPAM (primary health insurance fund) is monitoring its file and has carried out a contact tracing : several contact cases were found, but all are negative.
A case in Eure-et-Loir also
In Center-Val de Loire, in addition to the first case in France of the British variant detected at the University Hospital of Tours last month, a third case of contamination with this British variant of the coronavirus is recorded, in Eure-et-Loir. The investigations are underway, explains the ARS, it is about a young man of less than twenty years who has not recently traveled abroad, and whose contact cases have not traveled either. There too, “this case does not cause concern”, tells us the regional health agency.
In France, to date, nineteen cases of contamination with the British variant, deemed to be more contagious, have been officially recorded. There are therefore three in Center Val-de-Loire
