The Montreal canadiens has granted Wednesday a one-year contract to a two-tier defender Gustav Olofsson.
The Swedish 25-year-old will receive a total of $ 750,000 if he competes in the national hockey League (NHL) in 2020-2021 and officially to $ 250,000 if he is found with the Rocket de Laval. However, it has the guarantee of $ 350,000.
Olofsson has collected 17 points, including a goal, in 59 meetings with the club-school of the Habs this season. He also played three games with the Canadian.
In career in the NHL, the back has amassed 11 assists in 59 games as a door-colors Blue-White-Red and the Wild of Minnesota.
Drafted in the second round by the Wild (46th choice overall) at the NHL draft in 2013, Olofsson has helped Sweden win silver at the world junior Championships 2014.
