The Quebec Martin Madden has been appointed assistant to the general manager of the Ducks of Anaheim on Tuesday. He became assistant, and Bob Murray.

Madden, the son of the former director of the Quebec Nordiques, who had the same first name, has worked as director of recruitment fan of the Ducks for the last 12 years. His new role will not only oversee all the recruitment activities of the team – professional and amateur –, but also to have a greater role in the other operations hockey.

Holder of a MBA from HEC Montréal, Madden began his career in hockey as a recruiter for the Halifax Mooseheads in the League the Quebec major junior hockey (QMJHL). He then held the same position with the New York Rangers and then for the Hurricanes of Carolina, each time for a period of seven seasons.
