Uncertainty remains about the future return-to-play of Carey Price.

The custodian of the Canadian of Montreal is presented on the ice at the Bell sports Complex before his teammates for a third straight day Friday. He trained with the coach of goalkeepers, Stéphane Waite.

A bad news was waiting for, however, head coach Claude Julien yesterday, as Al Montoya has also missed the training optional. The team announced that Montoya was wounded in the upper body.

To overcome the loss of Montoya, the Canadian recalled emergency goalkeeper Zachary Fucale of the Rocket de Laval, his club-school in the american hockey League. Charlie Lindgren was the only goalie on the ice.

The availability of the defender Shea Weber (injured at the bottom of the body) and striker Jonathan Drouin (injured, upper body) for the match tonight to face the Sabres in Buffalo remains uncertain. They have participated in the training for about thirty minutes Friday.

The two important elements of the Canadian missed the game on Thursday, a 3-0 loss to face the Wild in Minnesota. The other players were the defenders Victor Mete and Brandon Davidson and forwards Torrey Mitchell, Jacob De La Rose, Byron Froese and Charles Hudon.

Price has not played since 2 November, when the Canadian had suffered a setback 6-3 to face the Wild in Minnesota. In 11 starts this season, he has a record of 3-7-1 with an average goals allowed of 3.77 and an efficiency rate of, 877.

“As much as we would like to tell you something black or white, there is no guarantee in a medical situation, recalled Julien. Sometimes it goes faster, sometimes it takes more time. It is the fault of the person. It is encouraging to see him on the ice. When will he be back in the game ? I don’t know. And I would prefer to say that instead of giving a particular day and fool me. “

Appointment with the Sabres

Lindgren should be in front of the net for the Habs tonight to face the Sabres.

“He is a guy who is very humble, but who does not lack confidence in his abilities, said Julien about Lindgren. He stops and gives confidence to players in front of him. “

“To have a guy like that who happens to Laval in front of our net and that gives confidence to his teammates, it is an asset to our team. We have three guards who can do that well. And in the situation we are in, it is good to have a keeper who gives us matches like this. “

In three outings this season, Lindgren presents a record of 2-1-0 with a mean of 1.35 and an efficiency rate of, 961.

Defender David Schlemko (injured hand) has also jumped on the ice before his teammates. The attacker Ales Hemsky (concussion) has skated after his teammates.

With the exception of a match with the Rocket, the 13 October, Schlemko had not played yet this season, who was injured at the beginning of the camp.

Hemsky has not amassed points from seven outings with the Habs this season. Their last match dates back to 20 October, a setback of 6-2 in the face of the Ducks, in Anaheim.
