A rise irresistible to Earthquakes

Une remontée irrésistible pour les Earthquakes

The Earthquakes of San Jose have filled a delay of two goals with a little over 30 minutes to play to inflict a setback of 4 to 3 to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the framework of a meeting of the tournament “The MLS is back” on Wednesday in Orlando.

Having largely dominated the meeting with 11 of their 31 shots on goal and a possession of 67.8 %, the Earthquakes have, however, very nearly dig their own grave by giving on a silver platter two goals to the canadian club.

Judson has scored in his own net in the first half, and goalkeeper Daniel Vega has given the ball to the opponent for a few seconds before the third goal for Vancouver.

Andres Rios in stoppage time in the first half, and Chris Wondolowski and Oswaldo Alanis and Shea Salina, the latter after eight minutes of added time at the end of the meeting, were the goal scorers for San Jose. Ali Adnan and Cristian Dajome replied for Vancouver, which was the last team in the running to still have not played his first match.

The old guard of the Montreal Impact’s Maxime Crépeau has made four stops in front of the cage of the Whitecaps.

The Earthquakes have yet to face the Fire of Chicago in the group A. The formation of the Illinois has won its only match so far, in the face of the Seattle Sounders. Earthquakes have, for their part, moved in a tie with the Sounders.
