Quebec creates a seal distinctive to recognize companies with best practices in reconciliation of work and family.
The minister of the Family, Mathieu Lacombe, made the announcement at press conference on Monday, underlining the increased importance of these measures in a pandemic situation. “A major finding [that spring], it is the need to innovate in the field of reconciliation of family-work-studies,” he said.
The Network for a Quebec Family has been mandated to oversee this new initiative. The government will grant a maximum of $ 600,000 for the next four years to provide enterprises with the seal in recognition of the quality of their organizational practices and to promote measures of reconciliation of work and family.
Among the recommended best practices, the Network for a Quebec Family evokes on its web site, a flexible schedule, the possibility of teleworking, the granting of family responsibility leave, the right to the disconnection or the presence of a guard service on the premises of work.
