A second death in the National Capital at the Jeffery Hale hospital

The death of a user has been found, Thursday, at the Jeffery Hale Hospital, bringing the total balance for the region of the Capitale-Nationale region at 270 people infected and two people died.

The regional Directorate of public health has announced 23 new positive cases in the territory and one death additional. In the designated hospitals of the region, it currently has 18 hospitalizations, including 9 in the intensive care unit.

The Jeffery Hale would always be a single care setting in the region which is experiencing an outbreak with a total of 8 staff members and 6 users infected.

In Chaudière-Appalaches, there are only three new cases, bringing the total to 133. The Manor Liverpool, there were still 21 people with. No case was added Thursday.

For both regions, the 403 cases represent a little over 7 % of 5518 cases in Quebec.

If the CISSS of the Chaudière-Appalaches provides a breakdown of the number of cases by MRC, public health in the National Capital could clarify yesterday that the centre of Quebec city is the most affected area of the region, which includes the county of Portneuf, Charlevoix and the island of Orleans.

Four clinical

Four assessment clinics open now on the territory of the National Capital. They will have the mandate to evaluate any patient who has flu-like illness, gastroenteritis, or symptoms similar to those of the COVID-19.

The four clinics will be located at MaClinique Lebourgneuf, at the Jeffery Hale hospital, in Saint-Hilarion, as well as in Donnacona.

In institutions, 12 correctional officers of the Institution, Port-Cartier, 9 agents of the Joliette Institution for women, and a first agent of the Institution, Donnacona, have been confirmed as carriers of the coronavirus.

Because of the situation in Port-Cartier, we are searching agents who are available to work on the North Shore.
