QUEBEC | A second house of the elders will be built in Quebec, in the area of Lebourgneuf, confirmed on Wednesday the minister Marguerite Blais.
The hotel located on rue de la Gandolière, which we do not yet know the exact address, must be able to host 72 seniors and 24 adults with special needs.
It will consist of eight units of air-conditioned, 12 seats, each of which will include individual rooms with a toilet and shower suitable for each resident.
“Our government is accelerating the transformation of residential environments for seniors and people with special needs. This construction of the ” house of elders and alternative in the area of Lebourgneuf demonstrates our action in this case,” said the minister responsible for Seniors and caregivers, Marguerite Blais, by way of a press release.
The government Legault is committed to build the 2,600-seat house of elders or in-house alternative by the end of 2022. The cost of construction of each space is valued at approximately$600,000.
