A senior Russian customs official fled to Ukraine — media

According to journalists, it all started with the fact that on November 14 Mamchur has not returned to work. Customs officials contacted his father, living in Ukraine, which, in turn, said that his son was ill.

It was later determined that Mamchur and his family went from Russia through Belarus, and at the moment the customs officer is located in Ukraine. The duties of the chief will be fulfilled by his Deputy, Colonel Svetlana Andreeva.

The week before there was a similar story when missing the head of Department of customs control after release of goods of the Saint-Petersburg customs Oleg Gusev.

Later, on 15 November, signed an order on his dismissal, and after a while Gusev was released on bond from the Baltic States and were asked to “consider yourself fired.”

As the newspaper notes, the customs officers could leave the country for fear of being prosecuted, but neither Guseva nor Mamchur criminal proceedings had been instituted.
