As La Provence relates, the police discovered this dismembered body, the arms and legs were placed under the victim’s bust. Which did not prevent them from identifying this man.
Two assassination attempts
The Marseille prosecutor’s office opened a judicial investigation, grouping this case with another that occurred a few days earlier. On the night of December 29 to 30, investigators discovered the charred body of two victims, aged 22, in the trunk of an Audi A3, a few hundred meters from where the Clio was. According to investigators, interviewed by the regional daily, one of the victims had already escaped two assassination attempts, in May in the 13th arrondissement, then a little later in the 4th arrondissement.
They became convinced that the three men were killed at the same time, after discovering traces of blood from the first victim, and a bloody grinder in a house in Chateauneuf-les-Martigues, where the two 22-year-old victims would have lost their lives. The assassins could have kept the 24-year-old’s corpse for several days. The three victims were known for drug trafficking, and it seems that they were in charge of putting pressure on them in order to recover points of deal.
