A twentieth season confirmed for

“Sucré Salé” will celebrate its two decades on the air next year.

Host Patrice Bélanger announced on the show on Thursday that TVA has confirmed the return of the cultural magazine for a twentieth season in 2021.

In an interview with the QMI Agency recently, Patrice Bélanger precisely expressed his wish to see his daily summer meeting be renewed next year, in order to be able to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Sucré Salé” with dignity. Surprises are surely to be expected!

Guy Jodoin had been the host of “Sucré Salé” for 13 years, from 2001 to 2014. At the end of this last edition, he handed over the reins to Patrice Bélanger, who has held the helm since 2015 and will be piloting his seventh year in 2021.

In its early days, “Sucré Salé” succeeded the artistic magazine “Tôt ou tard”, which Charles Lafortune hosted in 2000.

Over the years, personalities such as Éric Salvail, Mélanie Maynard, Marie-Soleil Dion, Annie-Soleil Proteau, Émily Bégin, Francesco Randez and Varda (the oldest columnist, present for 18 years) have collaborated on “Sucré Salé” .

Used to traveling in the field and covering the various cultural events in the province, the reporters of “Sucré Salé” have adapted to the pandemic this summer, by conducting virtual interviews and limiting their travel. Patrice Bélanger welcomed his guests to his “headquarters”, established at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
