Alpes-Maritimes: The police officer is a threat to the ex-husband is jealous of his service weapon

The criminal court of Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes) has condemned Wednesday a police officer of Antibes, a former member of the brigade, tasked with fighting crime in a six-month suspended prison sentence, reports Nice-Matin. His package ? The man, 41-year-old would have threatened his weapon, the ex of his girlfriend.

The altercation took place in Juan-les-Pins, whereas the latter had to recover his personal effects in the house. The policeman was in the marital bed – the spouses were in the process of separating. “The meeting between the two men goes wrong and ends by threats with a weapon,” writes the regional newspaper.

Two years of probation

At the bar, the police officer has disputed this version of events, claiming that he had used his baton and not his service weapon. The argument has apparently not convinced the criminal court of Grasse, which was, however, pronounced a sentence below six months firm required by the public prosecutor.

The sentence was accompanied by a put to the test for two years, the prohibition against carrying a firearm and come into contact with his victim.
