Head coach of Ukraine national team Andriy Shevchenko told about the fact that he allowed his team to achieve success in 2019:
“Before achieving any result, we went through serious difficulties. The most difficult was the absence from the world championship-2018. But it steeled me as a coach, tempered players and gave us confidence. Allowed to believe in what we were up to, to believe in the strategy chosen. And with each game we grew confident that we were not mistaken.
I would like to note their assistants, who had a great influence on me. I am very grateful.
To be a football player, the captain of the team is a very heavy burden. But being a coach is much harder. So, I want to say to all future coaches — believe in yourself, never give up.”
