“I am convinced that the situation in Ukraine and efforts to implement the Minsk agreements will be part of the discussion in London. We welcome the efforts of the allies in the Normandy format in finding ways to a certain progress,” Stoltenberg said.
He assured the NATO’s intention to proceed practically and politically support Ukraine. The NATO Secretary General added that NATO will support efforts to implement the Minsk agreement, to find a sustainable and long-lasting political solution to the existing crisis.
However, the assistant to the President for national security Robert O’brien denies the possibility of accepting Ukraine into NATO in the near future, due to the presence of conflict with Russia.
We will remind, in September, charge d’affairs of the USA in Ukraine William Taylor declared that the termination of the Russian aggression would simplify the entry of Ukraine and Georgia into NATO.
