It’s been a very long time that we had talked about Beetlejuice 2 and it was beginning to seriously worry. Fortunately, it appears that the project is moving again.

Beetlejuice is one of the first most popular movies of Tim Burton and rightly so, even if it has acquired its status as a cult film with the animated series that has découlée few years later, and that is, after all, very different from the original film. That said, we are talking about a hypothetical sequel for almost 30 years.

If things seemed to be accelerating in recent years, with the assurance that Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton would be back, we really thought that it was won until that Tim Burton prefers doing his adaptation of Dumbo for Disney. From that day on, strangely enough, there has been no mention of any Beetlejuice 2 and we had our tears to cry.

We will be so happy to learn that the project is not dead as far as the website Deadline has just informed us that the project has just welcomed a new writer in the person of Mike Vukadinovich. Not a beginner the cushy since he had written the film Rememory with Peter Dinklage released last month in the United States.

That said, the greatest secrecy surrounds the intake of this newcomer, as to date no details of the possible scenario has not been unveiled in any way and it seems that the arrival of Vukadinovich is a synonym of rewrite, complete or partial, which means that the story should still much to evolve in the coming months. But at least things are moving and as Michael Keaton and Tim Burton always seem to warm to scalding to do that, we will maybe finally have that Beetlejuice 2.
