The newspaper reminds that Zelensky won a very convincing victory in the elections last spring, received the support of voters who demanded change. At some point, his rating was higher than the rating of Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, the situation began to deteriorate. According to a survey conducted by Fund “Democratic initiatives” and the Kiev international Institute of sociology, 39% of citizens believe that Ukraine is moving in the wrong direction. Another opinion is shared by 36% of respondents: Bloomberg notes that in August the figure was 50%. As writes the edition, at the moment, the priorities for Ukraine is the cessation of the war in the Donbass, improving living standards, reducing tariffs, fighting corruption and reducing the influence of big business on politics. Also in the poll stated that 75% of Ukrainians in favour of peace talks with Russia, and 59% support withdrawal of troops from the conflict zone in the South-East of the country.
