Bombardier will resume production on may 11,

MONTREAL | Bombardier confirms the gradual recovery of its canadian operations as of may 11, next.

The company had suspended its activities as a result of government directives to slow the spread of the COVID-19.

Nearly 11 000 employees should return to work during the next few weeks in all divisions Aviation and Transport, as well as the headquarters of Bombardier.

The calendars return to work will vary from site to site and rely on new processes and procedures to ensure the health and safety of employees. All employees are reminded that the physical presence is not required on the production sites, or in service centres, will be invited to maintain the telecommuting until further notice.

Like others before it, Bombardier announces that it intends to use the wage Subsidy program emergency of Canada for the benefit of eligible employees.

Shortly after 15 pm today, Bombardier’s share is trading at 0.42$ on the Toronto stock Exchange. Since the beginning of 2020, the value of its stock has fallen 78 %.
