MONTREAL | The Indian Rohan Bopanna and the Croatian Ivan Dodig will rub themselves to the French Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut on Sunday in the round’s final tournament of men’s doubles of the Rogers Cup.

It will be a first final for Bopanna and Dodig, seventh favorites, which form a team for only the second time. Saturday afternoon, in the semi-final, they saved two match balls in the face at South African Raven Klaasen and American Rajeev Ram, sixth-seeded, to win in three sets 4-6, 7-6 (8), and 11-9.

With his new partner, Dodig will attempt to win a second consecutive title in doubles at Rogers Cup, he who had triumphed last year in Toronto with the Brazilian Marcelo Melo.

In the other semi-final, Herbert and Mahut, had the best face to the Austrian Oliver Marash and the Croatian Mate Pavic, eighths favorites, in two sets of 7-5 and 6-3.

The French fifth head of series, have profited from the failures of their opponents to the service break three times. They cordoned off the meeting at 1 h 18 min.

Herbert and Mahut are in search of a second title this season and ninth career.
