Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the United Kingdom will strengthen the rapid response of NATO. To this promise he made after the meeting of leaders of parties of the Alliance, which was held in London.
According to the head of the government, England will provide two aircraft carriers, two squadrons of destroyers, four warships and an army brigade. These forces will move to NATO if necessary, the rest of the time they will dispose of the British authorities.
Participating in the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Alliance, Johnson noted the importance of NATO’s actions to strengthen peace.
“History shows that peace cannot be taken for granted, and even as we celebrate this anniversary, we must ensure that our actions match our words,” said British Prime Minister.
