Visitors to the theatre are unable to resist the temptation to check the match between England and Colombia.
The actor from one theatre in Nottingham (Velikobritaniya) interrupted the play “Titanic” due to the fact that the audience was watching a football game on the phones. In that time England played with the Colombians. Two spectators in the front row weren’t just watching the match, but after each goal in the penalty shootout, I was cried “Yeah!”.
According to the BBC, the actor Niall Sheehy gave us women a sign to postpone the phone. But they just smiled in response, and one showed a thumbs up, they say, we won. The actor interrupted the play, referring to women from the stage.
– You are the most ignorant audience I’ve ever had the misfortune to play. I think you just showed us all that you are the most stupid woman on this planet. Please in the future never go to the theater, – said the indignant actor.
The theatre’s administration made a statement that in accordance with the regulations all spectators are asked to turn off cell phones upon entering the room.
– Even if the audience think that they behave quietly, surreptitiously checking the phone at the time of submission, that shows disrespect and is very distracting as the actors on stage, and others, the statement says.
The management of the theatre asked the audience not to succumb to the temptation to check the progress of the quarterfinal match involving the English national team, which will take place on 7 July. The game will start at 15 hours local time, it was at this time in British theaters matinee performances.
