The Wild of Minnesota has fired head coach Bruce Boudreau on Friday, the day of Saint-Valentin.
The assistant Dean Evason would the interim, in lieu of Boudreau, according to the website the Athletic.
This dismissal, in a February 14, is not without making think of Michel Therrien, who was made to show the exit door by the Montreal canadiens three years ago, to the day.
About this season, Boudreau becomes the eighth head coach to lose his job in the national hockey League.
A defeat of 4 to 3 at the end of the barrage suffered Thursday night by the Wild against the New York Rangers seems to have been because of Boudreau. The formation of the Minnesota led yet by two goals midway in the third period, but the Rangers have bridged the gap.
“We need everyone to contribute, we need everybody plays”, was launched Boudreau, during his press conference.
However, the Wild has found that the team was better to continue without him. After 57 games, the club Minnesota has a folder of 27-23-7, staying in the fight for a playoff spot.
