The police of Quebec will launch this fall an extensive advertising campaign to remind users – and especially young people – that it is forbidden to drive after having smoked cannabis.
A negotiated contract of$ 92,000 has recently been granted to the agency in Parallel to brand management to carry out this campaign. The sum comes entirely from a grant from the government of Quebec. The awareness campaign will be deployed by the end of 2020 with the approach of the Holiday season.
Étienne Doyon, a spokesman of the police of Quebec, has explained to the Newspaper that the agents have various ways of detecting a consumption of cannabis by drivers, even if there is currently no reliable to implement this measure. “In terms of road safety, it is necessary to constantly repeat the message for this to be efficient,” said Doyon.
