CEC accredits 67 international observers

In the presidential election in Kazakhstan 67 already accredited international observers. Registration of representatives of foreign States and international organizations will last until the evening of 3 June. This was reported today in the CEC.

Seven of them in the mission of CIS observers, 22 of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS countries. 36 people represent the OSCE, four from the organization of Islamic cooperation.

The extraordinary presidential elections held on 9 June. They will be attended by seven candidates. Campaigning for candidates was launched on 11 may at 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT) and will end on 8 June.

This is the current President of the Republic of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, running in the elections from the ruling party “Nur Otan” (“light of the Fatherland”), member of the Majilis (lower chamber of Parliament) of the Republic of Denmark Espaeva (from party “AK Zhol” (“Bright path”)). The identity of the candidate also received Deputy of the Majilis of the Communist people’s party of Kazakhstan Zhambyl Akhmetbekov, Chairman of the Board NAO “national agrarian scientific-educational center” Toleutay Rakhimbekov (party “Auyl”). Three others registered in the CEC as candidates from the Republican public associations.
