Municipal agent without history during the day, he put on another cap, less shiny, at night: organizer of clandestine parties. A municipal employee of Tremblay-en-France (Seine-Saint-Denis) was arrested early Saturday evening, while he was organizing a party without authorization. And this, while gatherings are prohibited as part of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, and a curfew has been put in place by the government between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Aggravating factor: the fiesta took place in one of the neighborhood houses of the city, of which he had the keys within the framework of his function… of educator of the young people of the municipality! According to several sources familiar with the matter, between 35 and 50 people participated in this clandestine party, while the authorized gauge for gatherings is ten people.
This police operation comes after others took place this weekend in Paris. In all, five people were arrested for organizing prohibited parties and 93 reports were drawn up by the police, in the 8th, 17th and 13th arrondissements of the capital.
The mayor says he is scandalized
In Tremblay, it was in the early evening that the police were called by a resident of this neighborhood house, a public structure belonging to the municipality and dedicated to activities for young people in the area. On site, the agents arrested the organizer and evacuated the other participants.
The man was taken into custody for “endangering the lives of others” as well as for the organization of this clandestine evening.
François Asensi, the mayor (FG), was warned in the wake. “It’s just a scandal,” thunders the city councilor, himself affected by the Covid in the spring. “At a time when everyone is making efforts to try to contain the virus – I am thinking of caregivers, citizens, elected officials – a guy allows himself to make a surboum in the city, moreover in a public building and without authorization ”, summarizes, irritated, the indebted city councilor.
Agent could be dismissed
If he leaves himself overnight to think about the follow-up to be given to this story, François Asensi is clear: “I am going to ask for a sanction: it is obviously too serious to pass up! Will it be the revocation, or a layoff? I don’t know at all yet. I will see this from Monday morning with my services. But this is clearly gross misconduct on the part of this agent. “
For a resident of Tremblay-en-France, the situation is all the more “unbearable” as the city had already been the scene of parties “out of the nails” this summer, between the two confinements, even as the authorities called the containment to avoid the resumption of contaminations.

For example, the vacation rentals platform Airbnb was forced to remove two rental ads for lofts located in the old quarter of the city, regularly rented by revelers and even pimps. One of the neighbors had resolved to put his apartment up for sale, exasperated by the noise pollution.
“Real irresponsible people”
Paradoxically, it was also in Seine-Saint-Denis that the very first anti-Covid vaccination took place this Sunday, on elderly patients and a doctor at the René-Muret hospital, in Sevran.
“On the one hand, we have those who are fighting against Covid-19, but on the other, we have real irresponsible people,” François Asensi recalls.
