The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its decree №168 has made changes to the Procedure of trading activity and trading service rules on consumer goods market. According to him, the cashiers will be obliged to round the total amount of payments in the current document in the absence of the cashier small coins changer, informs Rus.Media.
The resolution agreed with the document of the National Bank of Ukraine dated March 15, 2018 No. 25, “On the optimization of the circulation of coins of small denominations” (rounding the amounts in the checks).
The message about this published the press-service of the government. It is noted that the new rules come into force from the date of publication.
Also as part of the changes, the cashiers in the calculation will be obliged to accept without limitations all notes and coins of any denominations that do not cause doubts in authenticity. A special paragraph in the resolution highlighted the obligation to ensure the availability of the cash sufficient amount of banknotes and coins to provide change.
In terms of the specified regulations in addition to these changes abolished the obligation to have the cash Book of reviews and suggestions.
Add from 1 July 2018 Ukraine has introduced rules rounding of the amounts of cash settlements. This explains the refusal of minting coins in 1, 2, 5 and 25 cents. So, buyers and sellers were allowed to round the amount to a multiple of 10.
Rounding rules, the NBU introduced the following:
- the amount that ends with a number from 1 to 4 cents shall be rounded downwards to the nearest multiple of 10;
- the amount that ends with a digit from 5 to 9 cents are rounded upwards to the nearest amount divisible by 10.
Thus, the amount 7.55 USD seller can round up to 7, 60 hryvnia, and to 7.52 7.50 USD.
