CORONAVIRUS: A LITTLE OVER 4,000 NEW CONTAMINATIONS IN FRANCE
PARIS (Reuters) – French health authorities on Monday reported 4,022 new infections due to the coronavirus, nearly 8,500 less than the day before, but Monday’s figures are often much lower than those on other days.
The number of COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized stands at 24,995 and 2,666 are in intensive care, which is 182 more and eight fewer respectively than on Sunday. Of this total, 1,258 have been admitted in the past 24 hours and 245 have been placed in intensive care.
Three hundred and seventy-eight additional deaths have also been recorded, bringing the French death toll to 65,415 since the start of the epidemic.
