The Bulgarian military is ready to start to protect the airspace of North Macedonia in the framework of NATO, where this Balkan country can join in the foreseeable future.
About this before the NATO summit in London said the President of Bulgaria, rumen Radev.
“Bulgaria should not miss this historic opportunity to protect the airspace of the Republic of North Macedonia. It is not only in our national interest but also our duty towards the brotherly Northern Macedonia”, said Radev 3 Dec.
The press service of the Bulgarian Prime Minister added that military assistance to the North of Macedonia will not need any additional costs. It can be fully implemented by the air force of Bulgaria, based at the air base “Graf Ignatievo” to the North of Plovdiv city.
