A situation that the authorities intend to monitor as closely as possible. In Ajaccio, on the initiative of the mayor, Laurent Marcangeli, a screening campaign will begin this Wednesday, January 6.
Two sites will welcome free of charge all those who want to be tested. The first is located in the Palatinu, on the 1st floor in the cafeteria area, the second in the Pascal Rossini gymnasium, at the entrance hall level.
Screening operations will continue until Sunday, January 17. Public reception will be from Monday to Friday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is not necessary to make an appointment and present a prescription. On the other hand, it will be necessary to present an identity document and the vital card.
On site, wearing a mask and respecting barrier gestures are compulsory. The samples taken are taken using antigenic tests, which are faster with a readable result after 20 minutes. People aged 65 and over or returning from a trip abroad are encouraged to perform a PCR test in the laboratory. If a person is positive, the ARS is directly informed. The health instructions in force and compulsory isolation are then applied in conjunction with the Departmental Directorate of Social Cohesion and Population Protection.
