COVID-19: green light for casinos and games rooms Loto-Québec

COVID-19: feu vert pour les casinos et les salons de jeux de Loto-Québec

The government Legault will give the green light to Loto-Québec for the opening of casinos and games rooms this afternoon, learned The Newspaper.

Loto-Quebec had closed its gaming sites across the province in march last year because of the pandemic. This decision has deprived the society of State revenues of approximately$ 2.5 Million per day, according to a calculation of the Journal.

Loto-Québec had also put an end to its activities of bingo network and offers video lottery in bars.

Since the closure of gaming establishments, the corporation has paid the full salary to its 5,000 workers.

It is a safe bet that it will be a few weeks before that Loto-Québec open all of its sites because of the different health measures. The recovery may also be gradual.

Loto-Québec has preferred not to comment, for the moment.

The government should also give the green light today for the resumption of activities in the water parks, spas, amusement parks, tourist accommodation establishments and bars.

More details to come…
