Covid-19 in France: 133 deaths and 19,348 contaminations in 24 hours

On the eve of a new turn of the screw in France in the face of the coronavirus, with an extended curfew from 6 p.m. for 15 French departments, the French health authorities have identified 19,348 new infections with SARS-#CoV-2 in 24 hours, still very far from the government target of 5,000 daily cases. The positivity rate of the tests carried out is currently 3.8%.

Public Health France also reports 133rd deaths linked to Covid-19, which occurred in hospital in the last 24 hours. This figure may be reduced compared to the actual balance sheet, since on this holiday, all the data does not necessarily go up as quickly as usual. Since the start of the epidemic, the total number of deaths in France has reached 64,800, a figure which also takes into account data in nursing homes.

    667 hospitalizations in 24 hours

The health agency also reports 24,263 hospitalizations in progress in the country. Some 677 new patients have been hospitalized since the day before.
