COVID-19: No school in July

COVID-19: Pas d’école en juillet

Even if children could not return to class for a few weeks, the school will not be extended in July.

If it is not yet ready to disclose the scenarios for the reopening of the school, François Legault has, however, confided Tuesday that there will be no school during the summer.

The prime minister has, however, clarified that classes will not be open from July to mid-August, which still leaves a possibility that the school calendar be extended until the end of June or there is a back-to-school early in the fall.

The return to normal will be gradual, hammered François Legault. Thus, it is not a question of waiting for the fall to resume in a single blow, the socio-economic life.

“It would be a good idea to wait for the 1st of September to return one million children to school,” he illustrated.

Businesses and schools in regions spared by the COVID-19 could reopen before the cities considered as centers of contamination.

“There is a possibility that companies, day care centres and schools in some areas were reopened before the other,” said Tuesday, François Legault. The prime minister has clarified, however, that nothing is decided yet because it has not yet had the green light from the Dr. Horacio Arruda.

The majority of cases of infection with coronavirus are found in Montreal and in some municipalities of the 450.
