COVID-19: le Québec recense 17 521 cas confirmés et 805 décès

QUEBEC | The balance sheet of the pandemic COVID-19 continues to rise in Quebec, where there are now 17 521 confirmed cases and 805 deaths linked to the virus.

This is an increase of 723 infection and 117 deaths in 24 hours.

The Québec public health recalled Saturday that the number of new death does not take into account only those who have been recognized during the last day. Adjustments to the method of data collection and the conclusion of the epidemiological investigations that have stretched may have inflated the data.

The region of Montreal, which is the most affected in Canada, has exceeded the 8000 cases, is 8052, and accounts for 454 deaths. Of that number, 276 occurred in NURSING homes, 80 home and 51 in residences for the elderly.

The Montérégie region (2052 case), Laval (1897 cases), Lanaudière (1244 cases), Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec (947 cases), the Laurentians (813 cases), the eastern Townships (770 cases) and the Capitale-Nationale (586 cases) are the other regions most heavily hit by the health crisis.

After Montreal, the deaths are numerous, in particular in Laval (142), in the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec (60), in the Montérégie region (41), in the Lanaudière region (28), in the Capitale-Nationale (23) and Estrie (21).

According to figures from the national Institute of public health (INSPQ), 1130 (+54) people are hospitalized, of which 258 (+51) to the intensive care unit. Any 3315 Quebec are restored, and 2964 tests are under investigation.

The point of the press daily did not run this weekend, the government Legault have decided to present only during the week, a first since the beginning of the pandemic.

Blitz calls for me to contribute

After it was reported that many applications had not been considered on the site I contribute to, the authorities said Saturday that they will conduct a blitz up to Sunday to ensure a follow-up call to the many volunteers who have come forward. To do this, staff from Hydro-Québec and Revenu Québec will make the phone to contact the Quebecers who have raised their hand and wait for news from the government.
