MONTREAL | The Comiccon 2020 Montreal has been postponed until 2021, announced Tuesday the organization.
This report is the result of the cancellation of any gathering, ordered by the Quebec government to combat the pandemic of COVID-19.
The conference was supposed to occur the weekend of 3 July. Edition 2021 will take place from 9 to 11 July.
“The Comiccon of Montreal is a meeting and a summer must for lovers of popular culture, has indicated by way of a press release Alex La Prova, co-founder of the event. Therefore, it is not lightly that we have taken this decision, but it was still the right thing to do, because the security of our visitors, our exhibitors, our partners and our employees is paramount.”
No information has been given concerning, the holders of tickets already purchased.
The Comiccon of Montreal has held its first edition in 2006. Last year, the event attracted over 60 000 people.
