Beyond the balance, it is above all the imposition of a mask that stole the spotlight in these two provinces.

On the Quebec side, the government Legault is poised to impose the port of the cover face in public transport from July 13, and this, from the age of 12. Will follow an adaptation period of two weeks at the end of which it will be outright banned from boarding a bus or subway without a mask.

In Ontario, the elected officials of Toronto have adopted on Tuesday a resolution that will make mandatory the wearing of the mask in enclosed public places, such as shopping, as of Tuesday, 7 July.

This vote occurs in the aftermath of the rejection by the government of Ford to a demand of the mayors of the Greater Toronto area, who demanded that Ontario requires wearing a mask in public places to inhabitants of the Queen City and its suburbs.

This measure will come into force only a few days after the obligation to wear a covering face in public transport, a directive that will be applied as from Thursday 2 July.

The elected representatives of the region of Peel, in the suburbs of Toronto, will vote on them Thursday to require the wearing of mask in public.
