HEC Montreal has just been the victims of a phishing campaign. Students and staff received two spam emails in the afternoon that appeared to come from director Federico Pasin and school security.
The message, written in English, did not contain an attachment but did include a link. However, it seemed to lead to an error page.
“The School reacted quickly by informing the entire community of the measures to be taken,” says Émilie Novales, spokesperson for HEC. We are continuing our investigation to identify the root of this action. We cannot comment at the moment. ”
According to our information, the HEC network has not suffered any damage. The establishment advises anyone who may have clicked on the included link to change their password.
