Denmark Espaeva became the first female presidential candidate of Kazakhstan



The Central election Commission of Kazakhstan registered Espaeva Denmark, the first woman presidential candidate, reports TASS with reference to the CEC member Zauresh Baymoldina.

In its support it has collected more than 139 thousand signatures in 17 regions of the country. Also a contender for the presidency has provided a medical certificate about state of health and a certificate in tax authorities on income.

58-year-old Espaeva was nominated by the Democratic party of Kazakhstan “AK Zhol” (“Bright path”). She became the first woman, was
the presidential candidate of the country.

At the moment, the CEC registered the incumbent President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the writer Sadybek Tugel and Chairman of the territorial Association of trade unions of West Kazakhstan oblast Amangeldy Taspikhov.

Early presidential elections will be held in the Republic on 9 June.
