Austrian children’s writer Christine Noestlinger died at the age of 81 years.

This was reported by newspaper Die Zeit.

Nostlinger, was the author of over 100 books, including “Fire red Frederick”, “Fly, June bug!”, and “Down with the cucumber king!”.

Her books have been translated into many languages, including Russian.

Nellinger was born 13 October 1936 in Vienna. Her debut book was “the Fiery redhead Frederick” with his own illustrations.
