Died architect of the Bay of Yimin who designed the glass pyramid of the Louvre, said . He died in the night on Friday at the age of 102 years.
Bay Huimin born April 26, 1917 in China in the family of a banker. Later he moved to United States where he studied architecture at mit and Harvard.
Among the works of Bay Uimina in addition to the glass of the Louvre pyramid Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the case of the National gallery of art in Washington, the John F. Kennedy in Boston, JPMorgan Chase tower and Hall of fame rock and roll in Cleveland.
Bay Yimin retired in 1990 but continued to work. In 2008 his project was built the Museum of Islamic art in Doha, in 2009 – the Macau Science center.
In 1983, the architect received the Pritzker prize.
