People’s artist of Russia Valery Filippov died April 26 at 81-m to year of life, according to the website of the Union of cinematographers of the Russian Federation. Causes of death were not disclosed.
Since 1967, the artist worked at the Studio “Mosfilm”. Collaborated with Directors Ivan Pyreva, Karen Shakhnazarov, Alexander by Proskine, Vladimir Menshov and others. Valery Filippov took part in the creation of such films as “the circus Princess”, “the Adjutant of his Excellency”, “Winter evening in Gagra”, “the Brothers Karamazov”, “Team”..
In 1989 for the film “Cold summer of fifty third” Filippov was awarded the state prize of the USSR. In 2007, he became a “people’s artist of the Russian Federation”. Many of his works are exhibited in Russian museums. Some paintings are kept in private collections in Russia and abroad.
Earlier it was reported that on April 26 on 92-m to year of life has died the national actress of the USSR Elina Bystritskaya. In recent years, the actress was seriously ill.
